- Stunning new species of moth with whip-like defensive mechanism discovered in Brazil. Resembles European puss moth.
- Mystery solved: Why Earth became a frozen planet 700 million years ago. That “ice age” lasted 57 million years. Spoiler alert – historic low in volcanic CO2 emissions.
- New research discovers adult Komodo teeth are surprisingly similar to those of theropod dinosaurs. The research team discovered “the adult Komodo teeth were surprisingly similar to those of theropod dinosaurs, with the strongly recurved teeth of adults having serrated cutting edges that were strengthened by dentine cores.”
